Tim Rice is Global Dance Pro’s in house exercise physiologist, providing injury prevention and rehabilitation services to our full time dance students.Tim’s dream has always been to work with elite athletes, which is exactly what he considers dancers to be. The demands placed on a dancer’s body, particularly within a full-time dance program is substantial. It is therefore imperative that they are given the same care as other professional and elite athletes. Tim has worked hard to implement programs in order to reduce the likelihood that members of the Global Dance Pro full time dance program get injured, as well as expedite recovery times for when these injuries do occur.Having completed a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science before completing a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology, Tim is now halfway through a second Masters degree in Strength and Conditioning. Tim is also a member of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS).Tim is not only educated theoretically in the world of elite sports performance, but also practically having represented Australia in 3v3 Basketball at the World University League Final in China.Tim has a very clear vision, to reduce the amount and severity of injuries sustained in the world of dance. By doing this, Tim aims to create a world where dancers are able to stay on the dance floor, rather than having to take time off due to preventable injuries.
